14.03.2003 - In 2001 an order was received for a condensing steam turbine with an output of approx. 24 MW. Along with two gas turbines, the steam turbine forms part of a new combined cycle power station that is scheduled to replace the existing diesel-fired power station. Commissioning of the steam turbine by MAN Turbo is envisaged for 2003.
MAN Turbo’s condensing steam turbine is being supplied complete with gear unit. The scope of the order also includes the generator, condensation unit, oil supply systems and the instrumentation and controls.
MAN Turbo’s condensing steam turbines are reliable and their sturdy, flexible, modular design guarantees a high level of availability. They thus form a basis for a highly reliable and efficient combined cycle power station.
